Turns out I have a total of 362 tabs open in Firefox. Does anyone know a good therapist?

Firefox tabs aren't what they used to be. I remember in the like.. firefox 2 era, I used to have so many tabs open it would look like a row of teeth. · 3 years ago

@kevinsan - Any reason not to just bookmark those things? I keep a MASSIVE "ongoing" bookmarks folder, but that kind of thing is definitely less ephemeral than tabs. I guess the ephemeral nature of tabs could be because I switch between i3/sway multiple times a day (like when I need VR, I need X11). · 3 years ago
@mcoffin many (not all!!) tabs are needles in the haystacks of copious docs related to ongoing or backburner projects. I don't reboot my computer very often. · 3 years ago
I've never understood how people do this. Don't they stop being useful after a certain point? I've had a few open for various documentation things, but I've found they lose their usefulness after about 8. · 3 years ago
I had a Firefox add on called “pile”. you press the button and it bookmarks it quickly and effortlessly into a specific “pile” bookmark folder. It’s handy as it gets the number down and you can still find it another day in your bookmarks. · 3 years ago
This has been an issue for years for me…
Only think that made me lower the number of tabs is using wallabag (a read it later tool), but now instead of hundreds of tabs I still have around 50… Which is way too much as well, but a lot less than before…
Even in lagrange or amfora I have 10 to 15 tabs open…
I may be a lost cause^^ · 3 years ago
thank you for sharing. i thought that i was the only one. now i know i'm not alone lol · 3 years ago
My favorite FF addons is "Simple Tab Group", it allows to have a tons of tabs separated into groups. Sometimes you forgot to have opened 100 tabs in many different groups.
The best thing is that if for some reason you opened another windows without noticing it and you close your main one, Simple Tab Group considers the new one how if it belongs to the uncategorized group hence you never lose your tabs... · 3 years ago
a lot are doing virtual appointments... you'll need to start another tab.... · 3 years ago
The thought of that add-on is causing me a cold sweat. · 3 years ago
And that's exactly why I have an add-on that auto closes tabs after 30 minutes of inactivity. Keeps me sane. · 3 years ago
