Re: "I give you... the Lack Ness. All my home machines are..."
My router SSID is a long departed pet bird's name. We hatched him in a clutch of 4 using an incubator and out of the 2 that hatched he alone survived. He lived his life in our home as a pet and the router still calls from the corner with his name.

@gemalaya Yeah? Well, you know, that's just, like uh... your opinion, man.
In all seriousness, it's nasty to type. You know something's up when you're making shell aliases because you don't want to type it. I think that's probably your point.

@Queen_City_Nerd Awwwww. That's the sweetest thing I've heard in a long time, and a great way to think back on fond memories with your bird.
@zetamacs Apologies :) I looked it up and familiarized myself with Old Norse. That's when i realized that there are countless Old Norse words which sound way worse than Jörmungandr. I'm starting to like the mythical Jörmungandr who could shapeshift into a cat.

I give you... the Lack Ness. All my home machines are named after mythical sea creatures. Here you have Kraken (the Cisco switch) and Jormungandr (A Thinkserver T460 in a Rosewill enclosure). Since Ikea no longer makes these with solid legs, they are bolted all the way through the Lack table legs. A headache, to be sure, but very sturdy. There's the hard part over. Time to 3D print some rack mount enclosures.
