I've added a new station to my public radio called "Old Time Radio". It features old public domain music from 78rpm records as well as radio dramatizations of a few books, and about 12 episodes of the radio shows called "The Adventures of Philip Marlow" that play at specific times, with a new episode twice a week. I plan to add more radio shows and music later.
All of the content comes from the Internet Archive.

@clseibold Good thinking, that woks pretty good.
Yeah, I'm just streaming it throgh lagrange (love this browser). Interesting to know a workaround though. Thanks for that. · 9 months ago
@winco Yeah, vlc doesn't support gemini streams yet. You can, however, download the gemini stream with a gemini download tool and pipe that into vlc directly. Or you can use browsers (like lagrange or diohsc) that support streams from gemini. · 9 months ago
Oh, very cool! Thanks for this.
This is a thing I've been meaning to look into eventually (old radio). As far as I can tell, vlc doesn't support gemini streams yet, but that's fine.
Cheers! · 9 months ago
@ruby_witch Thanks! I'll look into those stuttering problems more. Could be the connection or it could just be my server being overloaded, not sure. · 9 months ago
Great channel idea and scheduling! I was listening just now and was getting some stuttering in the streaming - every 10 seconds or so there would be a half-second pause. I don't believe it's my connection, but I guess anything's possible? · 9 months ago
