So, about installing Gentoo: believe it or not, I found a 10 year old laptop sitting in an old drawer, and got distracted troubleshooting an apparent boot issue. I'm thinking there's a problem with the CMOS battery, so I'm going to replace that soon and hope it works! It was a fun excuse to finally try out Puppy Linux, though! :3

It's a Dell Latitude E6420. I got super excited because I thought it was libreboot compatible, but that's the E6400, not the E6420. Kind of a bummer, but I have a lot of fun fixing things, so I'm happy to have this to work on (as if I don't have 500 other projects to work on...).
