I need a natural remedy for depression, pronto. I've got no motivation and no creativity, but all I wish I could do is write. And don't say exercise, because I'm gonna start that back up soon.

Stretching and tai chi help me some, as does prayer and sitting down to work. Sometimes you just need to give what you want to do a shot. Here's hoping you find some respite! · 1 year ago

I mean, it's exercise but it's not, EXERCISE... going for a long, fairly aimless walk just to see what you stumble across. Anywhere fairly quiet with a bit of wildlife works for me but do what/where works for you. Hope you find something that works for you; depressions a real bitch :( · 1 year ago

what @warpengineer says plus healthy food. a healthy diet is known to have positive effects on depressed individuals in placebo controlled randomized studies. now, healthy is an overloaded term. a good rule of thumb is: if it has a food label, it is processed and not healthy food. consequently, salads and cooking is back on the menu which isn’t always easy to get started for people suffering from depression due to the condition’s inherent inertia. · 1 year ago

Spending time out in nature away from people and life always works for me. Just sitting in a park under a tree and listening to the birds and staring at green things. · 1 year ago
