Hi there!
This might be a dumb question, as I know nothing about electronics or synthesizers, but I'm just curious: Can affordable modular synthesizers, like that AE Modular stuff be turned into an analog computer?

I think it will be of very limited use since none of the components have any usable scales with units. Also they are not optimized for exactness or linear responses. The other way around is more viable though, using analog computers for making noises :)
I think something like The Analog Thing is a better investment at the same price point if you want to do analog computing. I have not tested that nor the AE though, but have a midsized eurorack system, which I don't think will be usable for more than visualizing some diff equation just to the rough shapes if I am creative.

But I have to say, I was kinda hoping the answer would be yes! Would have been so cool!
me too :)
