Jalapeno Poppers
Servings: 16
Ingredients
- 8 large jalapenos
- 20 strips of bacon
- 1 cup finely chopped green onions
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 16 oz cream cheese (2 blocks)
Instructions
- Fry 4 slices of bacon, then finely chop the bacon and add it to a mixing bowl
- Add green onions and garlic to the mixing bowl
- Add cream cheese to the bowl and mix all of the ingredients in the mixing bowl (this mixture can be made a day ahead of time and kept in the refrigerator if you want, otherwise it can be made the day of as well)
- Cut jalapenos in half from the stem to the tip, keeping the length of the halves the same as the whole jalapeno
- Remove seeds and membrane (the white stuff inside of the pepper) from jalapenos
- Fill jalapeno halves with the cream cheese filling mixture from the mixing bowl
- Wrap each filled halapeno half in a strip of bacon (you may need to use a toothpick or 2 to hold the bacon to the jalapeno
- Cook until the bacon is fully cooked (for instance, in an air fryer at 370F for about 12 minutes, or on a grill)
