I signed up last night and got the acceptance email this afternoon. So here I am, playing around in my new playground. It has been a while since I have used irc and other cli internet tools. It'll be good to get back to it. Ctrl-C.club seems like a pretty cool community.

My initial purpose for joining is to try out gemini. I really like reading other peoples posts and docs they've put on their capsules. It reminds me of the early days of the web, and gopher. They clients that I have tried out have really impressed me with the clean layout, especially lagrange. The typography is clean and sharp. A big draw of lagrange, for me, is the tabs. When reading through a page/document, I like to open any links on it. Without a tabbed interface there is a lot of paging back and forth, which I find frustrating.

I have been bouncing around the gemsphere and I thought I saw a post where someone puts their gmi files in git and they have a script that auto pulls from git to update their capsule. I think I would like to do something like that, which would allow me to write from whatever device I happen to have handy. And, I would love to be able to use those same git sources with bashblog or similar to populate a web version.

Well, for now, I will just focus on putting some stuff up on my capsule and getting to know the community here on Ctrl-C.
