Heavy rain with possible local flooding as Met Eireann issues warning

Galway is forecast to receive heavy rain tonight with Met Eireann issuing

a weather warning for seven counties across the centre of the country.

Heavy rain is expected to develop on Thursday night, spreading

northeastward into the early hours of Friday morning.

This will potentially cause localised flooding and difficult travelling

conditions tonight.

Met Eireann has issued a status yellow rain warning for counties Clare,

Galway, Roscommon, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath.

The weather warning will be in effect from 10pm tonight until 4am on

Friday.

Another weather warning has will be in place for heavy winds across

Munster and much of Leinster on Friday.
