Geomagnetic conditions have reached major storm levels globally (NOAA Kp 7) and moderate storm levels locally (K BEL 6) since 03:00 UTC on August 12. This is most likely the result of an interplanetary coronal mass ejection (ICME) arrival, associated with the CMEs detected on August 10. The Bz component is currently around -11 nT, having reached -17 nT around 02:30 UTC on August 12. Geomagnetic conditions will probably remain at least at active levels in the next 24 hours.

This is caused by the arrival of an interplanetary coronal mass ejection (ICME). The Bz component is currently around -9 nT, having reached -18 nT around 12:00 UTC on August 12. Geomagnetic conditions will probably remain at least at active levels in the next 24 hours.
