My wife and I found a house we want to buy. She's got ADHD and have a lot of time, I'm mildly autistic, and is pretty busy. So far we've spent around 5 weeks collecting info for the bank. Amusing and frustrating for us, both at the same time. We'll get there, eventually. (Or someone will buy the house before we're ready...)

I'm looking for a Gemini client on the de-googled android /e/OS, and I can't really find anything. I heard about the gorgeous Lagrange client being developed for Android, but I can't find it, so I suppose it's not done, yet. What else is there?

Friday I was utterly exhausted, so I binged “For All Mankind” (on Apple TV, if you want to watch it), both seasons. It was great, spacing out on something not on the computer, and in the end I had 30+ hours off my computer and the internet. Can't remember when that happened last. It was awesome. :-)

My favorite terminal webbrowser is w3m. It comes with a companion program named w3mman, a manpage reader that render manpages as HTML far w3m, with hyperlinks etc. It's just a perl program. Some day I'd like to try and make a gemini browser for w3m in the same way, I think that could be a really comfortable experience.

Sometime before COVID-19 my wife's oldest daughter gifted me The Bullet Journal Method by Ryder Carroll. It was a very good gift, we had talked about journaling before, and she didn't know I had already read it as an e-book. And the physical book is really beautiful.

Alas, bullet journaling has failed to take off for me.

I want that to change, because bullet journaling lets you “track your past, order your present, plan your future”, as the book says on the title page. I need that.

I am going to Bornhack, on the lovely Danish island Funen, next thursday for the whole week. Hackers in tents with good internet, basically. Anyone else going?

I feel almost dread at having to get back to work after my summer vacation tomorrow. Hate feeling like that, but I just can't seem to finde a way out of it. Good thing I only have to make it through the next 2 months and by then I have, hopefully, found another better job.

I have my site up and running, with a little CMS in a shell script. And a first post too: gemini://synthe.ist/log/learning-to-type.gmi

My 26 days of vacation starts today, hooray! That was the good news. The bad news was that I got my 3 months notice last friday, and will be without a job from october 1st. Very stressful, so I really need my vacation time now to figure out what I'll do (what I can and want to do).

Hello fellow gemineers. Burned out on the relentless and constant change on the web I seek refuge in gemspace, a calm and welcoming change.
