Wrote a bit of Go today. A nice change from the usual quite complex Python code... Although I wish I could rewrite some of it in Janet 😊

Procrastination + anxiety + imposter syndrome = having a shitty day. Or, to be honest, a shitty couple of weeks.

Learning Common Lisp, and thinking about writing a Gemini client lib. Has anyone already done that in Lisp? 🤔

One of the cool things about using OpenMediaVault on my NAS: when the web server goes down (for instance during an update), the web UI updates to a flashing red box on a black background, à la "guru meditation" error. This brings back so many memories from my beloved Amiga 500 :)

Today is a day of first times: - first time I shared my screen in a meeting since I switched to Wayland / Sway: it worked! - first time I contributed non-trivial changes to OpenStreetMap: added details about playgrounds in the nearby park. Feels really nice! I hope it's not the start of a new addiction... but since I already installed an Android OSM editor to record GPS traces when I walk around a brand new building a few blocks away, it might already be too late for that :D

Once again amazed by how efficient Gemini is. Sitting in an hospital room with bad reception, HTTP-web barely works, Gemini is still as snappy as usual. ❤️

Ticket bought: this October, I'm going to Luxembourg to see Sigur Rós at Rockhal! Last time I saw them was in 2013 (and also in Luxembourg). A lot has changed since then, but not how excited I am about this!

On a very non-smolweb note: got a Steam Deck! Didn't install any Gemini browser on it *yet*, but started playing Secret of Monkey Island instead. Very different form factor from my Amiga 500 in 1991, but the game is still my one of my all-time favourites :)

Somehow Lagrange on Android feels even better than on desktop :-D
