Yeah I hear you, the 2 first years of the OCC I was like, "I'm already doing that!" but I like the idea to challenge myself further, going one step away from technology. This year for my own Challenge, I decided when I'm using a computer for leisure instead of work, to only use my e-paper tablet, connected to a mechanical keyboard, with one charge for the week. Some sort of a fast from other media. I guess the next step will be a typewriter and my fiddle!

I was both glad and a bit disappointed when Solene posted about this years challenge. I liked the single shared restrictions of previous years but if Solene hasn't got time for it this year or its become bigger than she envisioned you have to respect that. I will take part! I'm thinking I'll go with the suggestion of no X or Wayland (terminal and possibly framebuffer only). Unsure at this point if I'll log on to one of my tilde accounts, setup a vm or simply disable xenocara on my laptop for the duration.
i wish i could limit myself with atari st. but i think i can limit myself withoutbproblems with wy ibook g4, it runs modern gentoo.
i also use motorola droid4 with devuan on it, and motorola lapdock. with the lapdock it has limitless battery life. lapdock is very lightweight. and i used it as my computer during recent trip to gyumri.
it runs windowmaker which i also use on modern systems well. d4 is a phone from 2012 but it is a phone, not computer, so it has 32bit arm cpu and 1gb of ram. it struggles with youtube videos and modern firefox loads there very long.
lagranga works fine. also netsurf.
i also run on it spectrum and oric atmos emulators.
