Dug out my childhood DS this morning! I've started a playthrough of Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia, and halfway through the school section of the story I remembered that the DS has wifi.

I have this incredible urge to build a gemini client for the DS; C terrifies me (I do not trust myself with it whatsoever), I know practically nothing about networking, and I'm almost definitely going to encounter some collossal roadblock that makes me realise it's not going to be possible for me to achieve at my current level of skill but TO HELL WITH IT, I'M GOING TO TRY ANYWAYS!!!!

you will more than likely need a dsi for this due to wep requirements. definitely not safe to run a Wi-Fi network with wep · 11 months ago

Hell yeah! Since web browsers don't really work on the DS or 3DS anymore, this would be brilliant! There are two main issues you may face, however: one is WPA, as the DS and DS lite generally only support WEP authentication; and TLS, which is mandatory for Gemini.

Good luck, and keep us updated here on Station! · 11 months ago
