Almost wanted to add another word - this works
I was standing on my balcony, next to the drainage "creek", a concrete thing running to the *actual* creek 100 yards from my apartment - during rain I watch the mini river flow to the "main" waterway, so entertaining it is damn near a feature of this residence.
No rain last night, just some glowing eyes of some kind in the grated "main" creekway 10 feet from where I stood.
I smoked, my porch light off, as always, and watched them waddle and "grumble" to their destination. Beaver, racoons? I do not know.
I figure there would be marcupials through there eventually - not the first time, but the first time *I* saw them, and it certainly will not be the last.
Black bear spotted downtown (aka three blocks from here) twice in the past month, so maybe I should consider a fixed blade for the nightly smoke sessions.
Or you could grin and... oh, forget it.... ;-)
