Well, I might have to postpone this. I can't get rid of my phone until I get my JMP client functioning with my computer so that I can call out or recieve calls on my computer. I need some type of line for work. So -_(o.o)_- · 3 years ago

May I please make an unsolicited suggestion, which I admit is an unfair projection. I have a couple friends who have done this. Now we hang out, they use me as a human smartphone proxy for looking up directions, business hours, restaurant menus and reviews, the weather radar, etc. So if you’re going to do this, don’t be like my friends and become a cellphone freeloader.

Personally I used a dumbphone until 4 years ago, when I upgraded to a smartphone and love it. I disable all notifications except calendar events. That limits the distractions while still being able to pull up the tide charts, radar, wind sensors, and buoys—so convenient for a waterman. · 3 years ago

@tskaalgard Fair point. Selling it or giving it away to someone who can use it is also a good option. · 3 years ago

This will be interesting. I've limited notifications on my android phone, but I still feel a slave to it. · 3 years ago

Very brave, indeed!

I was able to use for a while a dumb phone but my wife forced me to buy a smart one, very distractive.

I look forward to the Linux phone to get rid of at least of Android. · 3 years ago
