I have been evaluating various technologies how to get PHP apps into Gemini space. Fancied using OpenSwoole and had a working prototype - but using PHP-FPM with the gmid server seens to be a more practical way. Instructions follow.

I'm typically all 'Noo, not PHP! anything but PHP!'. But in this case, I think PHP is really the way forward for Gemini.\nFastCGI seems like a best fit for forum-style content · 8 months ago

Yep- thought about using one of those, too - FastCGI is less tightly coupled, though, and allows for more traditional application development. · 8 months ago

there are some gemini servers out there that are programmed in php, maybe this is also a way to get php appa into geminispace? · 8 months ago
