Midnight Pub

hello folks!

~blackwood

I stumbled across the midnight pub while searching for whatever random garbage popped into my head on geminispace.info

Eventually the search term "Grrrl" from Riot Grrrl got me to ttfb's post about their new zine and from there I spent some time just reading stuff from the rest of the site. This community seems really chill and that's really something I'm looking for right now. I honestly have no idea what kinda stuff I'm gonna post about but y'all will probably see me around at least every once and a while.

In the meantime, I'm blackwood a punk lesbian writer, artist, and avid anti-capitalist!

I'll see y'all around!

Pleased to meet you, blackwood!

I'm inquiry, a re-presentation of awareness as though the mind of a free-willed, individual self bound to a body in a space/time context.

The "as though" part is pretty strong stuff, though: driving a self-refer loop so fast - i.e. taking the idea of its-seeming-self so seriously - that the seemingly resulting nexus of idea of individuality becomes fully convinced of its spiel to the point of no longer being able to see its spiel for the spiel it 'tis were it, for example, able to "step back" and observe itself apart from its self spiel bias.

(Ack... when will this nexus learn to stop trying to put into words what can't be?)

I've often hoped to be a writer, but the fact is I've just plain long loved typing, and it turns out writing is a really good excuse to type.

But *were* I a writer, I'd aspire to sentences born of a combined John Updike, Joyce Carol Oates, and Hunter S. Thompson skill set.

Anyway, having never met a text buffer I didn't want to deluge, I suppose I should stop here.
