Reworked Capsule + More!
April 5, 2024
Just finished migrating my capule and website to a new server, as well as deploying a number of planned changes! Most of the changes are just making it easier for me to work on my capsule and administrate the server, but there are some nice new things for people other than me too.
gemini://nytpu.com/
https://nytpu.com/
- Both capsule and website fully support IPv6
- Website fully redesigned (with particular care taken for supporting retrocomputers and old/text-only browsers)
- Website accessible from plain HTTP as well as HTTPS
- Website generated from Gemroff instead of proxied from Gemini, so now there's nicities like images being inline instead of click-through
- Few-to-no links should be broken, everything should either be the same or redirect
- lasso.nytpu.com still up and running for everyone
Bonuses for me:
- Much easier to administrate server
- Easier to work on Capsule and write new posts
- Website TLS certs are automatically renewed (I previously had a wildcard cert and Let's Encrypt makes you manually renew them)
- All my private self-hosted services fully function now
