New white charcoal pencils came today. They seem to maintain a sharper point much better than my first pencils.

The sky was very crisp tonight, much better than I expected.

AV not needed for detection. AV is giving me brief glimpses of details (maybe even dust lanes?). In order to give the impression of detail variations, I used the texture brush to stamp some textures into the center of the galaxy.

Can be seen with M 86 and M 84. NGC 4388 is the dimmer galaxy to the south in the sketch. While dim, AV was not needed for detection. Took a while to find simply due to all of the other galaxies in the area. I'm thankful my star chart had an appendix chart for the Virgo galaxy cluster, otherwise this may have been more difficult to locate!

Just east of M 86 (M 86 is also included in the sketch to the west). NGC 4438 and NGC 4435 are quite close and almost run parallel to one another. They are much more dim than M 86, and I had trouble detecting a core in either.

Another galaxy pair. Not sure which is which exactly. These two seem to be almost perpendicular to one another. The galaxy to the west is more dim than the smaller one to the east.
