2022/0929/1700 — repeat offender

Riding home from work today along the same route as Tuesday I was keeping an eye and an ear open for any signs of the mystery swooper. Half the time when swooped I don't see the bird, just the flicker of its shadow on the ground, other times I don't even see that. Same spot as last time though, in amongst all the Noisy miners[1] shrieking in the bushes and darting about there's some warning sounds from what I guess is a magpie[2], and this time just a warning swoop from behind and no contact. It then flew up into the same small group of trees and kept on telling the world of his glory, although I still couldn't see it. He — usually the male — seemed to be content with that and successfully chasing me off from his territory
