2021/1129/1300 — feeding

My lunchtime walk took me north along Gardiner road past a few large flowering trees, some eucalypts, some melaleucas. The melaleuca (paperbarks) looked as though they were covered in a snow, a solid creamy-white mass of fuzzy flowers and a haze of bees & other nectar-feeding insects over them. Suprisingly not many birds on them, the same could not be said for the gum trees, a constant squawking of Musk lorikeets[1] & Rainbow Lorikeets[2] in different parts of the tree, and Noisy miners[3] & Red wattlebirds[4] fighting amongst themselves, with each other, and with anything else that came near them
