My Saturday morning routine involves a brief ride up to the shops; first the fish shop to get something for dinner, then possibly the chicken shop or butchers if there's a meal plan for Sunday, then the bakery for fresh bread for the weekend... and maybe croissants or (year-round) hot-cross buns as a treat. Today was no different, off across the railway line, up to Oakleigh shops, fish shop, around the corner to the bakery, then back home along any one of a number of different routes. The wildlife either introduced or large & boisterous; the permanent flock of feral pigeons[1] at the entrance to the shopping mall, a Little raven[2] cawing noisily from the power-lines along the street, and some Noisy miners in the bushes on the way back to the house for breakfast.
