A cold wintery day spent almost entirely at home indoors, a short trip up to the shops and a bit of time spent in the garden. At some point in the morning I watched as a Little raven[1] flew up into the top branches of the bay tree with something in its beak, perhaps something for a nest, I think we've had them nest up there previously, but the tree is so dense its nearly impossible to see what is up there behind all the leaves.
