A walk by myself in the afternoon off along the track beside the Erskine river, then time to sit on a rock at the junction with the Little Erskine and ponder today's wildlife, what will it be?
Too hot for much birdlife, too noisy and late in the year for any skinks to be about, looking around I spot a few butterflies and that will have to do. A big lazy Common Brown[1] flutters past & quicker an Imperial Jezebel[2] follows. Out on the Great Ocean Road this morning on a bike ride there were lots of tiny orange-brown butterflies, but I've no idea what they were.
