Isolating at home, six days to go. The swallowtail caterpillars[1] continue to get bigger and fatter on the orange tree, but then what's this? I walked past the rubbish bins at lunch time and saw a suspiciously large amount of caterpillar poop on them where the overhanging branches from the lemony-smelling bush is. Carefully checking the branches over and over I eventually found two surprisingly large, but very well camouflaged caterpillars. Both around 8-10cm long and hugging tightly along the length of a branch, they're the same greyish green as the plant stalks and with a tapering head and tail end to make it appear as a thickened part of the branch. I have no idea what they are, perhaps another one for inaturalist, although the phone seems to have trouble taking decent shots up so close
