Continuing the [small set of changes I've made to this blog] for the past weeks, I've decided to add new (more or less) static pages to this site (similar to the [About page]):
Pages planed for later:
I know `/now' pages are also a thing, but I also know myself enough to know I'm never going to update it enough so it doesn't makes sense to create it in the first place, so going to pass on that one :).
These pages are now part of the [all posts RSS feed] and have a [dedicated RSS feed] too, like all other content types. Thanks [hugo] to make it so easy :). The [listing page] itself is also [h-feed] compliant.
I've decided to also display them on the homepage like any other content type. They will always be at the bottom as they are the one that will be added / updated the less. Also, I've decided not to list all of them but only the one I'm marking as "featured" in the `frontmatter' area. It will allow me to choose to exclude or not some of these static pages from the homepage list. In any cases, the [pages listing page] shows them all.
I'm thinking about potentially doing the same thing for blog and gemlog posts, to list "only" the five latest "featured" posts (the one I like the most to put "in front"). And of course keeping the current reversed chronological order on the listing blog / gemini pages. If you have any insights / feedback about presenting article on the homepage this way (compared to current), I would love to hear about it :).
