This is a wordlog for the SpellBinding puzzle (in which you construct words using the specified letters; each word must contain the anchor letter).
Yesterday's words:
AEON AHOY ANNOY ANON ANYONE APNOEA HONE HONEY HOON HOOP HOPE NEON NONANE NONE NOON OPAH OPEN PAEONY PAYPHONE PEON PEONY PHONE PHONEY PHONON PHONY PHOOEY PONY POOH POOP POOPY POPE POPPY YAHOO
Pangrams: PAYPHONE
Missed: NOPE, HOPPY, HYPO, POON, PAEON
A double-whammy day: first, an obscure bug prevented the game from starting, then, the pangram, PAYPHONE, turns out not to be a word (it's two words, PAY PHONE)! But, otherwise, I kind of liked this puzzle with its H's and P's...
A few missed words (and I got frazzled and entereed 'hopped' as a missing word, even though there was no D... and immediately got messages from @friate and @November alerting me -- thanks)...
Alas, 'hypno' is not a word (although, HYPO is)...
PEON (n): a low-ranking individual, several meaning (a former colleague used the word 'shiton' instead...) PAEON (n), surprisingly is a form of poetic rhythm..., while PEONY is of course a flower.
Another day.
