is a wife and a kid
and to not matter at all
except to them
a smile
seen half a mile
away
what a day
driving home one night very late
without a blanket but very much alive
the possum roadkill
looked rather comfortable
on the side of the road
it appeared to have been
tucked in for the night
by it's loving possum mother
except it was bleeding
and lacking a blanket
and lacking a mother
