The Orcish language sounds quite brutal to outsiders, harsh and grunt-like. The few travelers who have successfully befriended Orcs, as opposed to the ones who only succeeded at becoming live meals, have found the language to be simplistic. Even the dumbest of humans are able to achieve conversational skills within just a few weeks, and full fluency can happen within mere months. Its simplicity makes it almost impossible for them to articulate complex concepts that other humanoids take for granted, causing further tensions even at diplomatic meetings. Some have tried to resolve this by teaching the Orcs other languages, but to no avail.
