Gibson is one of the most famous cyberpunk author, usually called "father of cyberpunk", he actually coined the term "cyberspace" in Burning Chrome.
Definitely a must read.
Arguably the first cyberpunk novel, it also served as basis for the the 1982
film Blade Runner.
