Hi there!
Any of you guys have experience building with hempcrete?

Do not have experence, but am in the middle of growing a new pot plant, so would be interesting to give a dive into if ever I wanna do some impromptu hemp-based stonework.

i played a bit with paper crete in the past. It's not very strong and doesn't insulate as good, but it's easy to get started. just do a dumpster dive in a paper container, grind up a bucket of newspapers, then make a few mixtures in different ratio's to see what works best.
then once dried play a bit more with water to see if it still holds up when wet, in the winter also freez it as the ice could make a disaster, and torch it to see if it burns , insulates etc.

@flipperzero: Hey! Thanks, but I was curious about industrial hemp really... I guess it's not as popular as i thought it might be... Hope this changes in the future.

@maxheadroom: I hear that hempcrete is not well suited for structural stuff, but it's said to be very good for walls and insulation... And it doesn't burn easily.
So I think the similarities are rather limited here... I certainly wouldn't want to live in a house made of paper haha!
But thanks, I hadn't heard of papercrete, interesting to see people trying stuff out!
