I haven't watched so many ads like in the last 24 hours. Youtube decided that it no longer works with an adblocker. The amount of ads they show is insane. Every 5 mins you've to watch an ad, every time you start a video you've to watch an ad. It is just ridiculous!

I’ve been using an alternative front end but recently watched something on YouTube itself and yes, I found it too hard to pay attention to.
It’s one thing for entertainment videos but for educational stuff I can’t focus enough to make it through the video.
I’m not against advertising in principle, but it’s not worth it to me.
That said, streaming video must cost a fortune and definitely does harm the environment so maybe it’s for the best if there’s some friction.
