How pleasant to be writing a post from familiar real world environs en route to posting it to a new (for me) online place.
May the force be with me!
(NOTE: I occasionally enjoy saying (usually silently for a reason about to *hopefully* become clearer) "May the farce be with me!", where "farce" refers to the "lie-dom" usually referred to as "the world". (If that makes no sense to you, feel free to raise your game, because I ain't lowering mine.))
The motivation is in part related to this phenomenon:
From https://cohost.org/rc/welcome:
on modern social media, there is an ever-present fear that someone will see your post, have their own bad faith interpretation, and decide to ruin your day over it. platforms are often built to encourage this sort of behavior to drive up engagement, but they don’t have to be.
I'm also shaking my head in disbelief that I'm wasting my time posting online again, especially given last night my wife woke me for some amazing 1:20am sex, after which she had me listening to a recording she captured on her phone, of what she believed to be two owls communicating as one relocated increasingly closer to the other in our yard in order to (their sounds suddenly getting much louder) "get it on".
Honestly. Is it possible for life to get any better than that?
Well, certainly *not* online!
But, you know, habits be tough to shake.
(FWIW: Did you ever notice how "online" tends to implies "life *off*line"?)
