@stack I know this pattern that you describe ... Never underestimate the symptoms of muscle inflammation and inflammation in general. One thing that works consistently for me is to take curcuma (mixed with milk), if a cup or two lifts the brain fog then i know it was due to inflammation.

@gemalaya, do you mean ground turmeric? How much do you take?
😺 gemalaya · 2023-12-11 at 02:39:
@stack Yes, ground turmeric. A teaspoon mixed with milk (the type of milk matters little, as long as it has healthy fat, you can use coconut milk, soy milk or cow milk ..) and BLACK PEPPER, the black pepper (which contains piperine) is key to increase curcumin absorption. I heat the milk just a little but it's not strictly necessary. Best to drink this on an empty stomach.
If you have a lot of inflammation you will feel an immediate relief. In that case, it's good to take this drink daily.

@stack Go easy on the black pepper, no more than 1/4 of a teaspoon.
What you need
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
- ¼ teaspoon of black pepper powder
- 8 oz of whole milk or non-dairy milk
- 1 tablespoon of raw honey
Directions
1. Heat the milk until hot.
2. Add in turmeric and black pepper powder as well as raw honey.
3. Mix well and pour into a glass.
4. Enjoy!

@gemalaya Thanks for this, saved. I hadn't thought about drinking it before, but it makes sense. I've used ground turmeric for toothaches before with some success, just a little cheesecloth (or w/e) pouch of the stuff kept between the lip and gums. 😁 What a fantastic spice!

@Addison It truly is a wonder spice, yeah works great for pain, and it has another wonderful quality for people who use opiates: it attenuates opioid tolerance and dependence. So if you're using opiates for pain and it doesn't do much for you anymore without raising the dosage (which is bad), taking turmeric will not only work as a pain reliever but also helps you to wean you off opiates and limit withdrawl symptoms. Also you can heal wounds by just putting turmeric powder on them (for pets as well).
Brainfogged... — The last week or or two had been hard... I feel like someone had hit me in the head with a shovel, sans the pain. But I never get headaches, and no exception here. No pain, but a kind of dizziness, and weird visuals - feels like slightly out of focus but not really... Most importantly, my brain is not functioning at capacity. It took me a while to remember the word 'brainfog' when I sat down, and I had to get up and dick around for a while... I've been using my brain daily...
