Implementing this requires a switch to a more full-featured text renderer, perhaps the platform's native one, or FreeType. The current TrueType library I'm using only does monochrome vector glyphs.

I'd like to be able to choose the emoji font in Lagrange, be it for a more complete font, better font metrics, or out of personal artistic preference. Ideally, the default system emoji font, even though it's most likely not a monochrome one, should also be an option.
