I'm looking for a cheap VPS with >=1 GB of RAM for a Gemini project. Does anyone have recommendations for VPS/cloud providers? Thank you!

BuyVM has been pretty good for me. Good perf and great prices, but the checkout process is a bit confusing · 1 year ago

I'll give another +1 for Vultr, I've been using them for years · 1 year ago

Thanks everyone, I'll try DO. Hope to find some free credit offer :) · 1 year ago

I host everything on a DigitalOcean VPS, I think it's 10 USD/month. My only advice would be to be careful with the payments, always having enought credit. Once they removed a server since I didn't have enough credits for a few hours. · 1 year ago

Another 1 for DO here. Station is hosted from a tiny DO droplet too. · 1 year ago

I haven't given anything else a try but I've been using Digital Ocean for years. Their cheapest offering with half a gig of RAM should be plenty if all you're wanting to set up is a static Gemini capsule. · 1 year ago

I'm a Digital Ocean user myself. Have been for many years. They have a $4/month droplet which should work great for a static Gemini site. Here's a referral code thing with some free credit stuff - https://m.do.co/c/720a3e789850 · 1 year ago

I use Linode, but to act as a gateway to escape my school's network. It costs 5$ per month, for 1vCPU, 1GB of RAM, 1TB of network transfer at 40/1 GBPS in/out bandwidth and 25GB of storage. · 1 year ago
