i can get carried away with things and ignore everything around me when digging in. including basic needs like, drinking water. recently i added a reminder on my phone to take a quick 10 minute walk every afternoon. that has been a game changer. i loose some time, but get mental energy in return. why did it take me so long to take a break? (context: my work happens on a screen all day)

Might give that a try. Here I used to be in a much more active role where I'd do 50% field work and worked in survey... now I just feel chained to a keyboard doing mostly CAD and worse most of the time I'm not drafting but waiting for work so it's pointless time. I've been trying to make room for a bicycle ride a few times a week after hours. · 2 months ago
