Waking up looking through fresh eyes

It's 3am and I can't sleep.

Questions are swirling around in my head that shake the very idea of Self.

You know those movies where the character transfers there body into a robot or another person? The whole time you think its a transfer that person moved from one place to another but really just like with all data move is a LIE. Move is only copy, verify and delete.

That is a cool idea and all when its fiction but what kept me up tonight was different.

Could it be the same when you die?

I will be honest with you i don't have much use for a higher power but the concept of an afterlife intrigues me but I could never get over the idea of moving consciousness without also moving the medium.

But just like data you don't need the medium to copy.

But therein lies the question, If it is a copy did you really get into heaven or is it just a copy that thinks it's you?

Even worse one copy goes to heaven and another copy goes to hell. Which side of the coin flip end up on?
