I had a thought today about good people doing evil things. Most of the time unless they are mustache twirling villains they are just people that have changed over to believing the ends do justify the means. I would love to see more stories about someone like this gripping with the fact that they know what they are doing is bad and they hate themselves for it. They just are willing to sacrifice that for the long term good.
I think this happens more frequently than we realize but just in the heads of the actors or authors that right really good villains in fiction.
