I usually drink lapsang or genmaicha hot but I have a green tea that I only drink cold. It’s green tea + mint + licorice. I put the tea in cold water and put in the fridge for as close to exactly four hours as I can manage (I usually use alarms and stuff to help me do that). As in, I brew it cold, I don’t brew it hot to later cool it.
I love it!
I’ve been deliberate about only having this kind cold and only having the other kinds hot so that I don’t get weirded out or grossed out by the “expectation clash”, I dunno. Maybe I’ve been overly cautious there but my “yums” are pretty easily “yucked” so I tend to be cautious and careful around the things that I like.
