A long bayside ride, then up the gravel path beside the Patterson river and Dandenong creek. Nothing much to see along the bay, a few ravens[1] and silver gulls[2], but then quite an assortment of cormorants in the river, at least one darter[3] sitting on a tree stump with its wings out to dry, a flight of pelicans[4] coming in to land upstream somewhere, and two big pools full of nesting Ibis[5] — I didn't see any of the Straw-necked ibis this week
