Another cold damp day, out for a ride under grey skies and with fingers going numb. Up through the Monash Uni campus and under the gum trees there's the daily shrieking from the Rainbow lorikeets[1] as they start to arrange themselves for the night. A few last minute arrivals dart back and forth between the tree-tops, interspersed with the stockier outlines and blunter tails of Musk lorikeets[2] getting in a last few minutes feeding before they too are off to roost.
