Morning commute bike ride, up past the sports oval on Browns road and under the gum trees, still flowering, still full of shrieking Rainbow lorikeets[1]. One the ground under the trees four or five magpies[2] are hopping around digging for worms & insects. A pair of them is being mobbed by a couple of Noisy miners[3], but seems completely undeterred, still digging for breakfast as the miners flap madly around their heads calling and pecking.
