Must be the season for them! Out for an afternoon ride with Jo today, longer than usual, followed the Blind creek trail up to Ferntree Gully then came back down the Ferny Creek trail. Just under 50km with the first and last 10km of getting from home to Jells park and back being on the roads. Surprisingly few birds around, maybe it was the hot weather and time, just under 30°C in the afternoon. As has been the case for the past week I seem to see Little corellas[1] everywhere, calling overhead or in flocks on the ground digging up grass roots.
