A late afternoon ride, the weather is cooling, still light late, but I can sense the coming of autumn. Not much to see but it seems that everyone was calling their lungs out; Rainbow lorikeets[1] shrieking from the tree tops in any gums that are flowering, blacks and whites, flocks of Little ravens[2] and Little corellas[3] whirling around looking for roosting spots. In all the lower scrub Nosiy miners[4] doing what their name implies, being noisy and driving out all the other birds.
