Another few days missed and retrospectively filled out, brief notes for the 19th-22nd filled out on the 23rd.
Very unusual for me, I was up and out of the house around sunrise. Woken early I decided to get my daily ride in before breakfast, doing the pre-breakfast shopping on the way home. Rising sun and morning dew on the long grass along the Djerring trail made it smell like paddocks in the country; waking flocks of Rainbow lorikeets[1] and Little corellas[2] dispersing from roosts to feed
