Very brief notes for the 9th-12th, despite my bests efforts I fell behind and filled this in on ... Friday the 13th.
A warm to hot day, a variation on my daily bike ride but a visit to the Glen Iris wetlands. The family of Welcome swallow[1] fledglings are still hanging around the railings of the lookout, four or five young and two parents, taking it in turns to swoop off and chase insects above the water, then return to sit and chitter at each other.
