Out on my daily bike ride, another slightly different ride, west to the bay, the last stretch alongside the Elwood canal. No interesting birds today, we've got fish. Crossing the mouth of Elwood canal while riding over the bridge I looked down and the water was full of an enormous school of 10-15cm toadfish[1], possibly hundreds of them.
