There was a period of two or three years when this song was very important to me, especially when I had been laid off and the future was more uncertain than I am accustomed to. I listened to it again a few days ago and realized that it's not nearly as good as it seemed to me then, but that's okay, I still enjoy it.
May peace be with you May love watch over you May God always be on your side May his unfailing love Be granted you from above May God supply you with The things you need To exceed your wildest dreams I can see His light is shining down on you May his unfailing love Be granted you from above May God supply you with The things you need To exceed your wildest dreams I can see His hand is on your shoulder He is near just close your eyes and feel it Give away the pride that leads you nowhere And receive His Love May peace be with you May love watch over you May God always be on your side

The NYSB Chorus continues to be a special ministry to many of the band's supporters, and the new recording will feature a new work arranged by Dorothy Gates with trombone and piano accompaniment simply called, Peace. With words and music by Swedish composer Andreas Sandlund, this lovely song is rather like a blessing: "May peace be with you, may love watch over you, may God always be on your side."
